BUENA VISTA, Va.-The Southern Virginia women's soccer team fell to Mary Washington by a score of 5-1 on Wednesday night.

The Eagles (8-4-1, 4-1-0 CAC) kicked off the game by scoring three goals in the first half, the first coming in the 11th minute. The Knights (4-8, 1-4 CAC) answered back with a goal of their own at the start of the second half, scored by Ayrdrie Palmer. The Eagles finished the game with two more goals, one in the 60th minute and the last in the 74th.

The Knights earned seven corner kicks to the Eagles' two. Keirra Tanuvasa had four shots on the night, including two on goal.

The next game for Southern Virginia will be at The Fields on Saturday, against York College. Kickoff is scheduled for 5 p.m.
