EMORY, Va.—The Southern Virginia men's basketball team lost a non-conference road game at Emory & Henry College Friday, falling 76-57.

Ten Knights (2-8) scored on the night, led by Rashay Douglas' 15 points. Cale Thornton was the only other player in double digits, chipping in 13. Justin Langford added seven points and five rebounds, Michael Price led the team with six defensive boards.

Although Southern Virginia made the first basket of the game, the Wasps (7-4) quickly answered and took the lead, which the Knights were never able to recover from. Emory & Henry took a 42-25 lead to the intermission.

The Knights shot better during the second half, but the Wasps' lead increased to as much as 26 with just under five minutes left. Southern Virginia outscored the Emory & Henry by five during the final five minutes, but ultimately fell 76-57.

Southern Virginia will host Ferrum College on January 2 in the Knight Sports Arena for the final non-conference game of the year. Tipoff is 5 p.m. EST.
