Rumbaugh and Douglas Combine for 30, Knights Fall to Saints

ARLINGTON, Va.—Aarun Rumbaugh and Rashay Douglas recorded 15 points apiece in the Knights' tough 67-65 loss to Marymount University on Wednesday night.

During the first 20 minutes Southern Virginia (2-5, 0-3 CAC) shot 59% from the field and sunk five 3-pointers to take a 39-33 lead at the break.

In the second half Marymount (4-3, 3-0 CAC) took 25 trips to the charity stripe, knocking down 17 free throws. The Knights outrebounded and outshot the Saints, but had six more turnovers.

Rumbaugh (Auburn, Wash.) added seven boards to his 15-point night, tying Alec Johnson who also pulled down seven rebounds and a bucket. Douglas (Jaffair Kingdom of Bahrain) and Tyler McCreadie (North Bend, Wash.) each chipped in 15 and nine points, respectively, from the bench.

Southern Virginia returns home to host Salisbury University on Saturday, December 10. Tipoff is slated for 3 p.m. after the women's game.
