FROSTBURG, Md.—The Southern Virginia baseball team fell 7-3 at Frostburg State in game two of the Capital Athletic Conference series. The Knights fell to the Bobcats at home earlier this season.
Frostburg (13-7, 6-4 CAC) got on the board early with runs in the second and third innings. Each team then scored one in the sixth, with the Knights' (7-17, 3-7 CAC) run coming as Cody Davis scored from a Jordan Nase groundout.
The Bobcats picked up three more runs before Southern Virginia tripled their score to in the ninth inning with an RBI triple by CAC Player of the Week Marcus Begg, scoring Josh Hilburn. Begg then scored on a wild pitch giving the Knights their third and final run.
Southern Virginia heads to Wesley for a double header on Saturday beginning at 12 p.m.
