The Southern Virginia University women’s cross country team won the United States Collegiate Athletic Associations’ national championship on Friday outpacing the eleven other small colleges that competed on the snowy 6K course in Lake Placid, New York.
Southern Virginia University women’s cross country runner Tori Faulkner was named the USCAA Runner of the Week today after the freshman from Mesa, Ariz. finished third overall at the Berea College Invitational last Saturday.

The Southern Virginia University women’s cross country team took fourth in the seven-team field at the Washington and Lee Invitational on Saturday, with two runners in the top 15 and four in the top 30.
The Southern Virginia University women's cross country team recorded ten of the top eleven overall finishes—including eight of the top nine attached times—during its home opener dual meet with NCAA Division III Mary Baldwin University on Saturday morning and defeated the Fighting Squirrels 20-43.
