Knights Compete at the Quaker Invitational

GREENSBORO, N.C. SVU was paced by a strong finish from Amy Steflik and Leila Schultz and had a strong outing against several NCAA D.III schools at the Quaker Invitational. The Knights came in eighth out of twelve teams at the meet.

"We are always looking to be competitive," said Head Coach Leslie McKinney. "We are a small school, and sometimes it may not seem like we match up well against these more established programs, but our girls keep running the best they can, and we get positive results. We get better every meet, and I am very excited about our potential."

Tori Isham was the third SVU runner after Steflik and Schultz, and Mary Massey and Cassie Cooper followed. Randi Rose and Kylie Miles came next for the Knights. SVU scored 215 points for the meet.

The Knights return to action Oct. 24 when they travel to run in the Hood College Invitational.
