Alison Brown enters her second season as an assistant volleyball coach at Southern Virginia University.
In 2014 she helped Coach Lee lead the Knights to a second place seed and the semi-final game of the CAC tournament.
A former multi-sport athlete for the Knights, Brown (formerly Krebs) was a member of the volleyball and softball programs at Southern Virginia.
A volleyball team captain in 2010, Brown earned both USCAA All-American and USCAA All-Academic honors as well as being named to the VaSID academic all-state team.
As a fantastic junior in 2009, she led the Knights to a third-place finish at the USCAA national tournament en route to USCAA All-America honors and VaSID Second Team All-State. Brown also was named a USCAA All-Academic recipient and Southern Virginia’s Female Athlete of the Year.
As a softball scholar-athlete for two seasons, Brown was a USCAA All-Academic recipient in both 2009 and 2011.
On top of playing high school volleyball in her hometown of Lebanon, Oregon, Brown was a member of the NoDinx/Corvallis Volleyball Club before playing for one season at Linn-Benton Community College in Albany, Oregon in 2007. At LBCC she holds the current record for assists in a single match at 67 and helped her team to a fifth-place finish at the NWAACC tournament.
Alison and her husband, Lancaster, reside in Buena Vista with their daughter, Whitley.
