Southern Virginia Sweeps Wildcats for Fourth-Straight Win

LYNCHBURG, Va. — The Southern Virginia University women's volleyball team dominated Randolph College as they swept the Wildcats 25-18, 25-21 and 25-17 Saturday afternoon.

Freshman Emma Steiger stepped at the libero position anchoring the backline for the Knights with her strong performance.

Junior Cortney Swindlehurst had a great night herself as she provided sparks both offensively and defensively for Southern Virginia.

"I am very proud of what we did," said head coach Debby Baker. "We did not have Mykynli, but the players were able to adjust and play our game that allowed us to come away with the win."

With the win, the Knights now hold a four-game winning streak and have a week to prepare for their next game to make it five.

Southern Virginia returns home after five games on the road on the 20th of September as they take on Bridgewater College at 7 pm.
