FREDERICKSBURG, Va. — Sophomore Hailey Lohnes at Southern Virginia University, was named the Capital Athletic Conference player of the week for her role in wins against Roanoke College and conference-foe Salisbury University.
The Knights add their second player of the week honor after LaRee Crockett won the honor the first week of the season. Lohnes secured double figures in both kills and digs for the Knights in each match. In the home-opener against Roanoke College, Lohnes earned 16 kills and 14 digs in the win and two days later at the conference-opener against Salisbury University totaled 19 kills, 17digs and four service aces. The Knights look to follow Lohnes lead into their match Tuesday on the road at Virginia Wesleyan University.
