BRIDGEWATER, Va. — The Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) recently announced the All-State women's volleyball teams, naming Southern Virginia University volleyball senior Hannah Allred for the All-State First Team, adding to her list of accomplishments this season.
Allred was also named the Capital Athletic Conference Player of the Year a few weeks ago after posting impressive statistics in a number of categories this season. The outside hitter led the Knights with .52 service aces per set, and was second on the team in kills (363), kills per set (3.82), digs (282) with a hitting percentage of .259.
The Stansbury Park, Utah native also recorded 12 double-doubles this season and had a season-high 23 kills against Frostburg State. Her season-high 19 digs came in a win over Merideth, alongside 19 kills.
VaSID names 27 all-state teams in 15 sports each year, as well as an Academic All-State squad and an all-sports champion in both the University and College Divisions. Membership in VaSID is open to all media relations professionals working at a University or conference in the commonwealth of Virginia.
