Penny Gwynn Named CAC Co-Player of the Week After Career Highs

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. — For the second straight week, a Southern Virginia University women's volleyball player earned Capital Athletic Conference honors, coming by virtue of senior Penny Gwynn who was named the CAC's Women's Volleyball Co-Player of the Week. 

Gwynn, from Hamilton, Montana, recorded a career-high 25 kills and five service aces in a 3-1 victory over Wesley, after helping the Knights to a 3-1 win over Salisbury with 15 kills, and a 3-0 sweep of Roanoke with 18 kills.

For the week, Gwynn averaged 5.27 kills and 6.5 points per game. She currently leads the Knights with 206 kills (4.04 k/s).
