Women’s Volleyball Tallies Fourth Sweep of the Season

STAUNTON, Va. – The Southern Virginia University women's volleyball team tallied their fourth sweep of the season against Mary Baldwin University on Tuesday night, defeating the Fighting Squirrels 25-9, 25-7, 25-10.

Leading the Knights' attack was junior outside hitter Kaely Rath (Grass Valley, Calif.), who recorded 10 kills, and six service aces. She was followed by sophomore middle blocker Amaliya Arnold's (Winchester, Mass.) who racked up five kills in the win.

Defensive specialist Delaney Layton (Chandler, Ariz.) recorded nine digs while setters LaRee Crockett (Wilcox, Ariz.) and Lexi Wolfgramm (West Jordan, Utah) combined for twenty-seven assists. Wolfgramm has averaged nearly six assists per set this season.

The Knights look to extend their two-game win streak against Roanoke College on Wednesday, Sept. 20. The game is set to begin at 7 p.m. in the Knight Sports Arena.
