Volleyball Falls at D-II Chowan

MURFREESBORO, N.C.—The Knights dropped their second in a row on the road to Chowan University Saturday afternoon, falling in three sets (19-25, 22-25, 20-25).

Allison Tiegs accounted for 11 kills leading Southern Virginia (4-11) on the attack against the Hawks (6-3). Libero Delaney Layton and teammate Hannah Phillips earned double digit digs finishing with 12 and 10.

Southern Virginia volleyball opens conference play at home Tuesday night at 6 p.m., where they will face No. 2 Christopher Newport University.
