LEXINGTON, Ky.—Southern Virginia took to the court Saturday with the drive to overcome their previous 3-1 loss to Transylvania University. The Knights (1-3) swept Spalding University (0-4) in a 3-0 victory Saturday morning at the Clive M. Beck Center (25-17, 25-17, 25-23).

The Golden Eagles could not overcome the Knights' powerful offense. Southern Virginia's Allison Tiegs and Hannah Phillips attacked with 15 and 10 kills. Ofa-Moa-Sam Fong continued her defensive strength and led the Knights on defense with 13 digs.

Victoria Heitzman and Erin Downs, who each totaled 7 kills, led Spalding's attack.
