Knights Suffer Road Loss at Transylvania

LEXINGTON, Ky.—The Knights kicked off a three-game classic hosted by Transylvania University on Friday in Lexington, Kentucky.

Southern Virginia (0-3) women's volleyball came out strong against Transylvania (3-0) taking the first set 25-23 against the Pioneers. The Knights fought a close second match but fell to Transylvania 24-26. The Pioneers won the next two sets over the Knights 25-23 and 25-17.

Freshman outside hitter Allison Tiegs led all players with 23 kills. Freshman, Ofa Moa-Sam Fong played strong defense for the Knights ending the game with 20 digs. Hannah Phillips followed up with a close 14 digs.
