Krebs And Anderson Named To USCAA All-American Teams

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Senior setter, Ali Krebs, will add one more award for her career, as she was named to the USCAA All-American team, and was accompanied by sophomore middle blocker, Bryndy Anderson, who was named an Honorable Mention All-American. Krebs was an All-American for the 2009 season, represented the Knights on the first team. She finished the season with 621-assists, and 267-bocks. Krebs was also named to the Academic All-American team. The academic award is the third for Krebs, who earned the award in the 2009 season, as well as in the spring 2009 term after her time with the softball team.

Anderson, in her first year with the Knights, had the second best hitting percentage on the team, as she recording a .236 attacking average. The sophomore recorded 161-kills, and also tallied 86-total blocks (37-solo, 49-assists). Anderson also earned an Academic All-American award. The award goes to athletes who are sophomores and older, and have a 3.5 GPA.

Accompanying the duo on the Academic All-American team was sophomore middle blocker, Paige Allred and sophomore outside hitter, Brynn McGinn. The quartet of players represents the most Academic All-Americans the volleyball program has had in one season.
