Neeleman Becomes Program's First to Earn All-CAC Honors

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. — The Capital Athletic Conference announced today the All-CAC Women's Tennis Teams, Southern Virginia's freshman Rachel Neeleman made program history as the first athlete to earn All-CAC honors after being named to the All-CAC Second Team in No. 1 singles.

The Alpine, Utah, native tallied five wins in singles in her first season for the Knights, posting wins over Pfeiffer, Salem, Catholic, Roanoke and CAC foe York(Pa.) and 11-9 record in doubles going 10-9 in the No.1 doubles slot and 1-0 in the No. 2 spot.

Neeleman's performances helped Southern Virginia to a new program record of 15-5 allowing the Knights to host the first round of the CAC Tournament for the first time in school history.
