Women's Soccer Downed by Frostburg State

Frostburg, Md. — The Southern Virginia University Women's soccer team (4-10, 0-5 CAC) fell to
conference opponent Frostburg State (4-9, 2-2-1 CAC) on Thursday afternoon.

The Knights took to the road on Thursday afternoon seeking to win their first
conference matchup of the season. The Knights came out determined, but some tough offense
from the Bobcats put the Knights in a 3-0 hole at the end of the first half. In the second half,
the Bobcats were able to add another goal taking down the Knights 4-0.

The Knights managed to attempt four shots on goal in comparison to the twelve taken
by the Bobcats. SVU also took seven corner kicks, two more than Frostburg State.

The Women's soccer team takes the field again on October 20th as they return home to
face-off against Salisbury University. The game is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m.
