Knights Shut Out by Spartans

YORK, Pa. — The Southern Virginia University women's soccer team took on conference foe York College (Pa.) on Saturday, falling 4-0 at Graham Field.

The Knights (4-7, 0-2 CAC) offensively did not have any opportunities in the first half of the game. The Spartans (5-7, 1-1 CAC) had a tremendous showing in the first half with two goals and 17 shots as a team.

In the second half, the Knights were able to get off two shots, including one on goal by senior Jamilla Anderson. Southern Virginia also saw limited action in the corners, being outshot 13-1.

The Spartans scored the last two goals in the 84th and 85th minute, extending the lead to your final of 4-0.

The Knights play next at Christopher Newport on Wednesday, Oct. 10 at 6:00 p.m. in Newport News, Virginia.
