Heim Named To VASID Second Team All-State

BUENA VISTA, Va. Freshman midfielder Kendra Heim has been named to the VASID All-State Second Team by the sports information directors in the state of Virginia. VASID is the association of sports information directors at the colleges and universities in the state. The team comprises players from NCAA D.II, D.III and NAIA teams.

Heim, from Pullman, WA, was the Knights' leading point scorer as she recorded 7 regular season goals, and accompanied it with 8 assists as she recorded 22-points on the season. Heim was a threat from the midfield and helped the Knights return to the USCAA tournament.

"I'm extremely happy she won this award," said Head Coach Matt Grawrock. "She was always a constant worker, and she had a high level of consistency for us. She deserves this award. This is a great accomplishment for Kendra as well as our program. There are some great teams with great representation on this list."

Heim becomes the first SVU Women's Soccer player in the history of the program to be named to the list.
