Knights Win in Home Opener
The home opener for the Southern Virginia University Women's Soccer team was an historic event as they opened the brand new Southern Virginia Soccer Field. In front of a good crowd the Knights welcomed Washington Adventist University, and christened the field with a 6-0 win.

Knights Record First Win of the Season
After a tough loss last week in South Carolina, Southern Virginia Women's Soccer travelled to play at Hollins University, and picked up the first win of the season 4-1. Led by 3 goals from freshmen, and a goal from a familiar face in Melanee Guymon, the Knights overwhelmed the hosts, taking 27 shots with 18 on frame. The Knights now sit at 1-1 on the season.

Women's Soccer Loses to Div. I SCSU
The Southern Virginia University Women's Soccer team opened their 2009 campaign, on the road against NCAA Division I foe South Carolina State University. The 2008 defending USCAA National Champions were looking to continue the winning streak that allowed them to claim the trophy last fall, but were unable to overcome the hosts in front of a raucous crowd in Bulldog Stadium, eventually falling 0-3.
