Logan Davis is going into his fourth year as head wrestling coach at Southern Virginia University. The 2014 season marked the year wrestling becoming an official NCAA Division III sport at Southern Virginia.
After graduating from Southern Virginia in 2009 with a B.A. in liberal arts, Davis served as an assistant coach for the wrestling team.
As a student at Southern Virginia, Davis was a two-time USCAA All-Academic recipient in both cross country and wrestling. Davis was also a three-time qualifier for the NCWA national tournament in the 133-lb. weight class.
He served a full-time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Kenya Nairobi mission.
Davis resides in Lexington, Va., with his wife, Emilie, and four children.
2012-Present—Head wrestling coach; had one player named USCAA Wrestler of the Week and five USCAA all-academic honorees; during his first season as an NCAA Divison III wrestling coach he had a 3-13 record (.230)
2011-Present—Head men's and women's cross country coach; 2011 and 2012 USCAA Women's Cross Country National Championships; coached two CAC Runner of the week recipients in 2014; his 2014 men's team was honored by the United States Track and Field Cross Country Coaches Association as an All-Academic Team; coached one All-CAC second team honoree
