Rose Named Outstanding Wrestler As He Four-Peats At Builder Invitational

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. Peter Rose walked away from the 2010 Builder Invitational, hosted by Apprentice, as a four-time champion and was voted the Outstanding Wrestler for the 2010 tournament. Rose defeated Radford wrestler Tyler Reedy, as he pinned his opponent at the 4:05 mark of the match. The win was significant for Rose as he exacted a little revenge for a loss to Reedy at the SVU Thanksgiving Turkey Bowl meet in November.

Rose has made a habit of performing well at the Builder nvitational. All four years he has attended, Rose has walked away as the champion of his weight class.

Brandon Seeburger also participated in the meet for the Knights. Seeburger had a rough afternoon as he was pinned in the second round of his first match, and was eliminated altogether after the second round in the consolation bracket.

Jordan Kofford had a similar day like Seeburger's as he lost his first match, and was eliminated in the second round of his consolation bracket.

SVU wrestlers will return to the mat Feb.5 when they travel to take part in the inaugural USCAA Invitational hosted by Penn State- Du Bois.
