Knights Overpowered by No. 6 Sea Gulls

SALISBURY, Md.— The Southern Virginia University women's lacrosse team fell on the road to No. 6 Salisbury University 18-1.

The Knights (8-8, 0-6) struggled to stop the powerful Sea Gull (14-2, 5-0) offense allowing 13 consecutive goals to trail at the half 13-0.

The second half followed the first half with the Knights still being held scoreless until the 5:25 mark when Caitriona Knowles scored on a pass from freshman Jordan Gundersen to put them on the board. Southern Virginia did not score the remainder of the game falling 18-1 to the Sea Gulls.

Freshman Chloe Mitchell led the team with two draw controls, two caused turnovers and a ground ball.

Madilyn Pedroza started at goal for the Knights in the loss.

The Knights wrap up the regular season Monday, April 22 at 6:00 at Knight Stadium.
