Knights Picked Seventh in CAC Preseason Poll

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. — The Capital Athletic Conference released the 2019 Women's Lacrosse Preseason Poll today, with Southern Virginia predicted to place seventh.

Southern Virginia looks to continue to improve after even further this year, after earning three more wins their last season (2018) than the year prior (2017). They ended their 2018 season 6-11 overall, 0-8 in conference, and offensively scored the most goals in program history with 165 (9.71 per game).

Southern Virginia will return with almost their entire offense, including all four leading scorers. Last season, Hannah King led the Knights with 27 goals, closely followed by fellow midfielder Natalie Rice scoring 25.
