Bradshaw has Career Day in Win Over Hood

BUENA VISTA, Va.—The Southern Virginia women's lacrosse team earned a 15-8 victory for their sixth win of the season against Hood College on Monday afternoon.

Hood (4-4) found the back of the net first but Southern Virginia (6-4) would go on a nine-goal run to take a 9-2 lead at halftime.

The Knights scored the first two goals of the second half but the Blazers were able cut the Knights lead to just four with ten minutes to go. Southern Virginia closed out the game with three goals to secure a 15-8 win.

Senior Zoe Bradshaw scored a career high of six goals and recorded one assist. Rainey Whitworth and Claire Houghtaling each scored a hat trick and and  assist.  Megan Barfuss scored two goals and Emily Lamb added one.

Freshman Rachel Miller recorded a season high of 11 saves in goal for the Knights.

The Knights travel to conference opponent St. Mary's College of Maryland on Friday, March 25. Game time is scheduled for 4 p.m.
