About the Knights

Southern Virginia enters the contest on the heels of a 14-1 defeat at the hands of defending national champion Salisbury University. The Sea Gulls are currently the top ranked team in the country and own a 30 game win streak. Sophomore Zoe Bradshaw led the Knights with the lone goal on the afternoon.

Sophomore Rainey Whitworth leads the Knights with nine goals on the season, while Caroline Schroeder has added eight goals and Zoe Bradshaw has six goals. Goalkeeper Kathryn Lyman has compiled 34 saves during her first six games for the Knights this season.

About the Panthers

Ferrum (7-5) is lead by veteran Head Coach Karen Harvey, and entered the season ranked first of nine teams in the USA South Athletic Conference. The Panthers are coming off an overtime loss to conference foe Meredith College. Ferrum finished 13-4 overall last year and went 7-1 in conference play.

Senior Courtney Hamm leads the Panthers with 49 goals, while Sophomore Shannon Brown has added with 36 goals and 15 assists. Junior goalkeeper Amanda Cheney has registered 59 saves while compiling a 7-5 record as a starter.
