About the Knights

Southern Virginia enters the contest on the heels of an 18-2 defeat at the hands of conference foe Mary Washington. Senior Caroline Schroeder and sophomore Zoe Bradshaw led the Knights with one goal apiece.

Sophomore Rainey Whitworth leads the Knights with seven goals on the season, while Schroeder has added six goals with Bradshaw contributing five. Goalkeeper Kathryn Lyman has compiled 24 saves during her first four games for the Knights this season. Senior Lillian Epps has led the Knights on defense at the backer position.

About the Vixens

Sweet Briar (1-5) is led by first-year head coach Hayley Engster and entered the season ranked tenth of eleven teams in the ODAC. The Vixens' lone win came against Bryn Mawr College. Sweet Briar finished 8-9 overall last year and went 2-8 in conference play. The lacrosse program at Sweet Briar will celebrate its 100th anniversary later this month.

Freshman Monica Ewansik leads the Vixens with 17 goals, while Junior Kim Orchowski leads the team in points with 11 goals and 11 assists. Freshman goalkeeper Emily Williams has registered 22 saves through five games.
