About the Knights

Southern Virginia enters the contest coming off a 14-5 defeat at the hands of Randolph College. Sophomores Rainey Whitworth and Zoe Bradshaw led the Knights with two goals apiece while Elizabeth Bonney added her first goal of the season.

Whitworth leads the Knights with seven goals on the season, while Caroline Schroeder has added five goals with Zoe Bradshaw contributing four goals. Goalkeeper Kathryn Lyman has compiled 22 saves during her first three games for the Knights this season. Senior Caroline Schroeder has earned ten draw controls for the Knights.

This marks the first Capital Athletic Conference action for the women's lacrosse team. The CAC boasts some of the most competitive programs in NCAA DIII lacrosse, including defending national champion Salisbury University.

About the Eagles

Mary Washington (3-1) is off to an impressive start with victories over Lynchburg, Roanoke and Shenandoah. The Eagles' lone loss came against a very strong Washington & Lee program. Mary Washington finished 11-7 overall last year and went 4-2 in conference play.
