ABINGDON, Va. — Bailey Rusick and Bailey Pfunder, members of the Southern Virginia University women's golf team, competed as individuals in the Emory & Henry Fall Classic on Friday. Rusick won the classic with a score of 94, as Pfunder secured third place with a 102.
The 5804-yard par-72 Glenrochie Country Club gave all participants a challenge, as Rusick was the only player to finish under 100 strokes. Pfunder finished one stroke out of second place to Emory & Henry's Ashley Underwood.
The two Knights also placed first and second when these same teams (Emory & Henry, Sweet Briar and Hollins) played last week at the Vista Links in Buena Vista, Virginia.
Southern Virginia will head to Phoenix, Maryland this weekend to play in the Goucher Fall Invitational on Monday and Tuesday.
