YORK, Pa.—The Southern Virginia women's basketball team lost 97-85 a high-scoring game to York College of Pennsylvania Saturday in the second game of their Pennsylvania road trip.
The Spartans (9-4, 3-3 CAC) had control of the game in the first half taking a 17-point lead at the intermission. The Knights (3-10, 0-6 CAC) outscored York in the third and fourth quarters but weren't able to overcome the deficit.
The Knights shot 55.6% from the field compared to the Spartans 49.3%. York, however, shot 68.2% from the line and scored 18 second chance points compared to Southern Virginia's two.
The Knights return home as they look for their first conference win against The University of Mary Washington on Wednesday, January 11 at 5:30 p.m. in the Knight Sports Arena.
