In that game, a closely contested first half left the Knights down only 12 heading into the break, 33-21. Mary Washington used a quick 11-3 run to start the second half, extending its lead to 19 and never looked back. Freshman forward Melynda Boren led all Knight scorers with eight points to go along with four rebounds. Aubrey Howland led the Eagles with 12 points.

This will be Southern Virginia's final regular season home game and the last home contest for 15-year head coach Michael Harmon as he will be stepping down at the end of this season. The Knights are looking to snap a current seven-game skid with a win over the Eagles. Their most recent defeat was a close 60-42 decision at St. Mary's College of Maryland.
Freshman guard Tatiana Monsen leads the Southern Virginia scoring attack at 9.9 ppg while contributing 2.5 assists and 2.2 steals per game. Sophomore center Crystal Cleveland leads all Knight rebounders at 9.3 boards per game while also averaging 8.8 ppg.
