The last meeting between the two teams occurred on January 15 in Frostburg, Md., with the Bobcats picking up a 76-51 victory over Southern Virginia. In that game, Frostburg State jumped out to a 38-19 halftime lead while capitalizing on 20 first half Knight turnovers. The squads played about even in the second half, but the halftime deficit was too much for Southern Virginia to overcome. Morgan Hartvigsen led Knight scorers with 12 points while Elaina Hummel poured in 21 for the Bobcats.

Southern Virginia is looking for home court advantage to help end a five-game skid on Wednesday. The Knights' most recent defeat was a 59-41 decision at Penn State Harrisburg last Saturday
Freshman guard Tatiana Monsen leads the Southern Virginia scoring attack at 9.9 ppg while contributing 2.5 assists and 2.2 steals per game. Sophomore center Crystal Cleveland leads all Knight rebounders at 9.4 boards per game while also averaging 8.3 ppg.
Sophomore Shannon Romito pitches in 8 points per contest while bringing in nearly seven rebounds per game.
About the Bobcats
Frostburg State won two in a row before dropping its most recent contest to St. Mary's, a close 79-74 defeat. The Bobcats are looking for only their second road win of the season as they visit Knight Sports Arena on Wednesday.
The team has a balanced scoring attack with three players averaging double digits. Senior guard Elaina Hummel leads all Frostburg scorers at 17.6 ppg while junior guard Ronje James is not far behind at 14.5 ppg. The other double-digit scorer is Simone Wise, a junior guard averaging 12.5 ppg.
Jasmine Walker leads the rebounding attack at 6.6 rebounds per game while averaging 4.8 ppg, respectively.
The Bobcats are currently seventh in the Capital Athletic Conference standings.
