Last Meeting

The two teams last met on December 4 of last year in Buena Vista, Va., with Christopher Newport picking up a 92-58 victory. In that game, the Captains jumped out to a quick 14-5 lead and never looked back. Christopher Newport brought a strong defensive effort, forcing the Knights into 31 turnovers and getting 41 points off those turnovers. Freshman guard Morgan Hartvigsen led all Knight scorers in the game with 15 points while Nicole Mitchell of Christopher scored a game-high 25.


About the Knights

Southern Virginia enters this contest coming off a tough loss to The Apprentice School, a 64-52 defeat in which the Knights outscored the Shipbuilders in the second half, but it was not enough to come back from their halftime deficit.
