BUENA VISTA, Va.—The United States Collegiate Athletic Association today announced junior guard Ann Kuroki (Hershey, Neb.) as USCAA Division I Women's Basketball Player of the Week due to her performance last week.

"Ann [Kuroki] is an all-around performer for us on the court," said fourteen-year Head Coach Michael Harmon. "This past week, she came up big playing a strong defensive front and involving everybody on the offensive end."

Kuroki averaged 15 points, 5.5 assists and four steals-per-game in Southern Virginia's wins last week—the Knights defeated Apprentice 52-38 on the road (Feb. 5) and Penn-Tech 68-44 at home (Feb. 9).

First-year Southern Virginia guard Kuroki's best performance was on Saturday against the Wildcats in which she registered a game-high 16 points, 14 rebounds and four steals along with a team-high six assists.

In helping the Knights to a 12-7 record so far, Kuroki has started each contest and leads the team in assists (4.2 apg) and steals (2.7 spg).
