Second Half Surge Pushes Knights To Victory

BUENA VISTA, Va. 21-4 second-half run pushed the Southern Virginia Basketball team to a commanding 58-40 win over visiting Apprentice. The Knights started out the second term trailing by 1-point, but a 15-0 run pushed them to a 14-point lead before Apprentice was able to record its first second-half point off of a free-throw. The Knights out-scored the builders 35-16 to walk away with the win, and to put the team's win streak at 2.

The Knights made only ten trips to the free-throw line, completed 70% of the free-throws. SVU went 3-for-16 from beyond the three-point line, but two of those shots came in the second-half onslaught.
