Last Meeting

Southern Virginia is looking to compete at a higher level than previously demonstrated as they face Guilford College for a second time this season. The Knights were scheduled to play Guilford College earlier this season, but had to end the games early due to a lack of light. The Quakers took advantage of the Knights' sloppy defense early in game one as they scored 14 runs in one inning. The Knights are determined to prove they can compete at a much higher level.

About the Knights

The Knights recently lost a twinbill to ODAC member Randolph-Macon in five innings each. The Knights have a combined .222 batting average, 123 hits and an 8.91 earned run average.

Sophomore shortstop Cheyenne Hegsted continues to lead the Knights with a .375 batting average and a .420 on-base percentage and 18 steals. Freshman McKenzie Packard leads the Knights with 11 runs batted in, two triples and trails Hegsted with 10 steals. Hegsted and Packard have one homerun apiece.

Southern Virginia will look for consistency on defense and be aggressive at the plate to pick up two more victories.

About the Quakers
