Originally scheduled for Wednesday afternoon, Southern Virginia University's softball doubleheader at Randolph-Macon College has been moved to Thursday to allow the field time to recover from Tuesday's rainfall.
The first toss will take place at 3:30 p.m., also an adjustment from the initial start time of 3 p.m.

About the Knights
Southern Virginia is looking to claim its first road sweep as they travel to face the Randolph-Macon Hornets in a doubleheader Wednesday afternoon. The Knights split double headers with Bridgewater College and Penn St.-Harrisburg last week.
Sophomore Cheyenne Hegsted continues to lead the Knights with a .377 batting average with 23 hits and a .424 on-base percentage with 17 stolen bases. McKenzie Packard leads the team with 11 RBI, and has a .305 batting average, 18 hits, a .364 on-base percentage and 10 stolen bases.
The Knights will look to stay solid on defense and be aggressive at the plate to light up the board to pick up two more wins.
About the Hornets
The Hornets recently lost a twinbill to Bridgewater College and split with Eastern Mennonite University. As a team, the Hornets have a .343 batting average and a .408 on-base percentage.
Sophomore outfielder Christine Simon leads the Hornets with a .516 batting average after 93 at-bats and has 17 RBI, 15 walks, a .582 on-base percentage and seven stolen bases. Sophomore Sam Moore leads with 26 RBI and eight homeruns and trails behind Simon with a .404 batting average, .490 on base percentage and 13 walks.
Freshman Kelsey McLaughlin leads the Hornet pitching staff with a 2.06 earned run average after 95.1 innings in the circle and has 53 strikeouts recorded. Sophomore Jenna Best trails behind with a 3.65 earned run average and 35 strikeouts after 69 innings in the circle.
