About the Knights

Southern Virginia will face Wesley College as it continues to battle for its first win of the 2014 season. The Knights recently fell to NCAA DII Davis & Elkins College, 11-2 and 12-2 Monday night.

Freshman McKenzie Packard pulled ahead of sophomore shortstop Cheyenne Hegsted to lead the Knights with a .348 batting average, five RBI's, five stolen bases and a .500 on base percentage. Hegsted trails behind with a .300 batting average, two RBI's, three stolen bases and a .400 on base percentage. The duo is tied with one homerun apiece.

The Knight pitching staff will look to reduce the walks, while the defense looks to knock more balls down and execute plays. At the plate, the Knights will be aggressive and take advantage of the situations given.
