5 Earn Academic Honors
May 11, 2009NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Five members of the Southern Virginia
University Softball Team were named to the United States Collegiate
Athletic Association (USCAA) All- Academic Team today.
To become an Academic All-American, the recipient must have a 3.5
grade point average or higher for their entire collegiate career.
The recipients are Erin Davis (Wasatch HS, Heber City, UT) who
graduated in two years, Lindsay Law (Virgin Valley HS, Mesquite,
NV) who recently returned from a church mission to Portugal for The
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Sonja Septon (Utah
Valley U, Orem, UT), Ali Krebs (Lebanon, OR), and Abby Baxter (W
Jessamine HS, Nicholasville, KY). All at Southern Virginia
University are extremely pleased with the accomplishments of these
student-athletes.
