At the Gettysburg College Cross Country Invitational, freshman Morgan Bingham set the Southern Virginia University record for the 6K race and both the men and women beat out several competitors from both the Capital Athletic Conference and the Old Dominion Athletic Conference.
The Southern Virginia cross country teams made a strong showing at the Shenandoah Commonwealth Challenge on Saturday, with the men taking third and the women taking fifth in their respective races. Morgan Bingham and Colter May each finished first in the Commonwealth Challenge, a race between serval schools in Virginia.
The Southern Virginia University cross country teams had a great showing at the James Madison Invitational on Saturday, with the men’s team placing second and the women’s team placing third in their respective races after top-five performances from Morgan Bingham and Colter May.
The Southern Virginia men’s cross country team had a good building year under the direction of first-year head coach Clint May, placing sixth at the CAC Championships and 24th at the NCAA Division III South/Southeast Regional Championships.
