Logan Davis is going into his fifth year (2015-16) as the head men's and women's cross country coach, as well as his fourth year as head wrestling coach at Southern Virginia University. The 2014 season marked the year wrestling becoming an official NCAA Division III sport at Southern Virginia.

The 2014 cross country season was highlighted by freshman Michael Myers as he earned second team All-CAC honors with his 15th-place finish at the championship race and was named the conference's Runner of the Week three times during the year. On the women's side, freshman Rylee McKeon was given Runner of the Week accolades after her strong finish at the Shenandoah Open.

In 2012, Davis led women's cross country in capturing its 11th USCAA national title over the past 15 years and pushed men's cross country to a 10th-place finish at nationals.

During his first season as head cross country coach in fall 2011, Davis led the men's team to a sixth-place USCAA finish at nationals, while guiding the women's team to its first national championship since 2007.

After graduating from Southern Virginia in 2009 with a B.A. in liberal arts, Davis served as an assistant coach for both men’s and women’s cross country from 2009-10. During that time, Davis also assisted with the wrestling team.

As a student at Southern Virginia, Davis was a two-time USCAA All-Academic recipient in both cross country and wrestling. Davis was also a three-time qualifier for the NCWA national tournament in the 133-lb. weight class.

He served a full-time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Kenya Nairobi mission.

Davis resides in Lexington, Va., with his wife, Emilie, and four children.
