BUENA VISTA, Va.—The Southern Virginia University men's volleyball team defeated Cincinnati Christian University 3-0 on Saturday afternoon improving their record to 16-1 on the season and 8-0 in CVC play.
The Knights quickly routed the Eagles (1-18, 1-8) in the opening set, 25-12.
Set two was the best for Southern Virginia statistically as they had 12 kills and only one error on a .579 hitting percentage on the way to a 25-18 victory.
They were able to close out the third set 25-19 earning their 13th straight victory of the season.
Christian Kapisi led the Knights offense with a season-high seven kills on a .636 hitting percentage. Danny Aina had a good game for Southern Virginia as well, recording a game-high 16 assists and five digs.
The Knights look to extend their win streak as they travel to Plymouth Wisconsin to take on Dominican University on the 16th of March at 3 p.m.
