No. 11 Knights Sweep Macs 3-0

IMMACULATA, Pa.—The Southern Virginia University men's volleyball team defeated Immaculata University 3-0 on Friday evening with little resistance, winning in three straight games 25-7, 25-8 and 25-10.

The Knights (4-1, 1-0 CVC) never faltered at any point in the match as they recorded double-digit kills in each of the three sets and finished with a hitting percentage of .762.

Southern Virginia ran a balanced attack throughout the match as Cooper Anderson, Elijah Mowry, and Mitch Usevitch all finished with seven kills and a combined hitting percentage of .875. Setter Andrew Fonua had a game-high 21 assists and Danny Aina added a game-high four digs for the Knights.

Garrett Pepper led the way for the Macs (0-5, 0-2 CVC) with six kills on the evening.

The Knights return to action on February 9th as they will play at Ramapo College at 11 a.m. and later against Alvernia University at Ramapo College at 1 p.m. in a double-header match.
