SELINSGROVE, Pa. — The Southern Virginia University men's and women's track and field teams concluded the final day at the Jim Taylor Invitational held at Nicholas A. Lopardo Stadium.
The only individual victory of the day came from Baylee Mulitalo in the hammer with a toss of 47.90m. Mulitalo also finished third in the shot put and fourth in the discus to close out her day.
Thrower Mesi Havea led the Knights in the discus with a third-place finish measuring 42.23m as well as sixth in the shot put and ninth in the hammer. Teammate Ella Burrows added a fifth-place finish in the shot put with a throw of 11.92m.
Abigail Kinoshita placed in the triple jump with a mark of 10.75m and added a 12th place finish in the long jump while Jill Westman finished ninth on the track in the 5000m run.
On the men's side, current CAC Athlete of the Week Derek Blasko won the shot put with a mark of 15.26m.
On the track, Daniel de la Cruz placed fourth overall in the 400m hurdles with a time of 56.42. Freshman Hunter Lund finished fifth in the 5000m run for the distance team recording a time of 16:01.86.
The Knights will recover this week and prepare for their next meet Saturday, April 13 at the Wildcat Invitational.
