The Capital Athletic Conference today announced the men’s and women’s track & field All-CAC teams, featuring Southern Virginia University’s individual champions Derek Blasko and Mesi Havea on the first team. The Knights’ Clarissa Barton earned All-CAC Second Team honors during the indoor season.
The Southern Virginia University track and field team had a strong showing over the weekend when they competed in the Doc Jopson Invitational at Bridgewater College on Friday and Wildcat Invitational at Randolph College on Saturday. Southern Virginia University freshman Colter May has been named the CAC Track Athlete of the Week for Dec. 5, 2017. Earlier this year, May was named the CAC Cross Country Athlete of the Week and CAC Freshman of the Year for cross country.
