GREENSBORO, N.C.—The Southern Virginia University men's tennis team defeated the Quakers of Guilford College 7-2 on Friday afternoon in a non-conference match.
The Knights (8-1) swept the doubles points as their No. 2 and No. 3 teams both won 8-2 and the No. 1 team earned an 8-6 victory.
In singles, Andrew Blonquist was the first to finish making quick work of his opponent 6-0, 6-1. Kukutla Motlojoa and Ben Spencer were the next to win for the Knights, taking down their opponents 6-3, 6-2 and 6-4, 6-0 respectively.
Daniel Blonquist was the last to finish for Southern Virginia with a 7-5, 7-6(5) victory ultimately defeating the Quakers (3-4) 7-2.
The Knights continue weekend action as they'll face-off against regionally ranked Methodist University on the 30th of March at 9:30 a.m.
