Men's Tennis Falls to Penn St. Harrisburg Lions

BUENA VISTA, Va.— Dallin Evans and Kjell Henness picked up the only victory for the Southern Virginia University men's tennis team as it fell, 8-1, to Penn State Harrisburg Saturday afternoon. 

The Lions got an early 2-1 lead over the Knights in doubles play. Dallin Evans and Kjell Henness defeated Chris Magee and Mitch Ebersole, 8-6. Brennan Alford and Cort Cox had a tough 9-8 (11-9) loss. Parker Monson and Tanner Heyland lost by an 8-2 score

The Knights were swept in singles play. Dallin Evans fell by a 7-6 (7-3), 6-4 count. Cort Cox lost, 6-3, 6-3. Kjell Henness fell 6-1, 6-1.  Parker Monson was trumped 6-0, 6-0. Tannery Heyland had a hard fought 6-7 (7-4), 6-3 (1-0, 10-6) loss. Caleb Cluff was defeated 6-0, 6-2. 

The Knights will head to Bluefield College for its last non-conference match up of the season. The match is scheduled for Monday at 12pm at The Bluefield City Courts in Bluefield, Virginia.
