Men's Tennis Comes Up Short At Hood College

Frederick, Md.— The Southern Virginia University men's tennis team suffered a tough 5-4 loss to Hood College Friday afternoon in Frederick, Maryland.

Dallin Evans and Brennan Alford teamed up to defeat Alex Seexton and Joshua, 8-3, Sextion (Hood) for the only doubles victory for the Knights. Cort Cox and Kjell Henness lost 8-4 while Tanner heyland and Parker Monson fell 8-5.

In singles play the Knights came up short against the Blazers as only three Knights saw vicotories. Dallin Evans, Kjell Henness and Tanner Heyland defeated Hood opponents. Hood opponents trumped Cort Cox and Parker Monson. Brennan Alford put up a good fight but fell by a 6-3, 5-7, 2-6 score.

The Knights will step back into conference play for a matchup against York College (Pa.). The match is scheduled for Saturday at 1:00pm in York, Pennsylvania.
