RICHMOND, Va.—The Southern Virginia University men's tennis team continued to roll on Wednesday as the Knights collected their tenth win of the year with a dominant 8-1 victory at Virginia Union University.
Southern Virginia (10-1) dropped only the top-seeded doubles match at Virginia Union before taking the No. 2 and No. 3 doubles matches and sweeping singles play.
With Wednesday's victory, men's tennis has now reached double-digit wins for the second consecutive season—the first two such seasons in the program's five-year history.
The Knights' initial double-digit winning season came last year when men's tennis won a program best 12 games. With five matches still remaining this season, Southern Virginia has a chance to exceed last year's win total and complete the most successful men's tennis season in school history.
